This Is My Travel Story ...
Back in 2012 my best friend and I traveled across the globe on our first big backpacking trip to visit Australia and New Zealand. We embraced the life of a nomadic backpacker - staying in hostels, eating PB+J breakfast, lunch and dinner, and spending all of our time exploring and seeing new things. We spent three months traveling in our camper van and hiking as many New Zealand mountains as possible. By the time we reached Queenstown, New Zealand we had convinced ourselves to leave home and move abroad. Once two best friends make a promise like that... well, there is no going back!
In April 2013 we packed out bags (this time, more than just a backpack!) and kissed our family and friends goodbye. We met in the LA International Airport and off we went.. to the land of the kiwi bird, pavlova, and the All Blacks. A proposed one year away quickly turned into three (and meeting my future husband!) and before long I found myself packing my bags and heading off for my next adventure ... a year traveling the world!
After spending several months at home reconnecting with family and friends and picking up several free lance jobs I packed my backpack up once again and flew to South East Asia. Over the past year I have travelled to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Turks and Caicos, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, Spain, Morocco,United Kingdom, Myanmar, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, and Indonesia . Words can simply not describe what I have learned about the world ... and more importantly myself over this past year traveling abroad.
I hope my travel blog acts to inspire those interested in traveling. If you have any questions please be in touch!
