After spending a day in Kathmandu, Hamilton and I packed our backpacks and headed to Pokhara, the closest tourist town to base yourself for trekking to Annapurna Base Camp. The journey took around eight hours on a local Nepali bus - and while the distance isn't too great, the roads are windy and the traffic is slow. We didn't mind this one bit, as it gave us the opportunity to look out the window and watch local life take place in Nepal. We had the opportunity to stop and wander around two small villages where we got a bite to eat and explored the tiny streets.
When we finally arrived into Pokhara we were excited to explore town and get ready for our big adventure trekking ABC!
