After the Bluff Oyster Festival this late Autumn, James and I headed down even further South to Slope Point in The Catlins. When we left Bluff we were unsure where we would end up for the evening so as the sun went down we settled for the closest point and that just happened to be Slope Point! The next morning the owner of the little backpackers told us to drive 10 minutes down the road to Slope Point – the southern most point in New Zealand!
We were literally being blown away as we reached the end! Sand, sea water, and everything in between was swirling all around as we finally made our way to the sign and hung on for dear life to get the photo to prove it!
