Little Village of Dala

On our last day in Yangon we decided to take the local ferry across the river to the tiny village of Dala. We boarded the ferry and squished onto an open bench where we watched daily life go by - ladies selling chili coated fruit, hawkers selling goods in baskets on their heads and babies clinging to their parents as they made the quick ride over the river.

Once we reached the other side, after a quick 10 minute ferry ride, we were greeted by many men trying to convince us to jump on board their trishaws for a peddle around the village. We scoped the scene and found two men (who weren't too pushy!) and spent the next hour riding alongside their bicycles as we toured the village. We passed fishermen, pagodas, market stalls and observed local life in Dala.

After a lovely hour in Dala we boarded the ferry and headed  back to the hustle and bustle of Yangon City!
