U Bein Bridge

On the way between Mandalay and Kalaw we passed the U Bein Bridge - the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world at 1.2km long. The bridge was amazing. Lifted up on teak legs above the Taungthaman Lake, many people who travel to Myanmar make a point to visit this bridge and take a stroll from one end to the other. With a lovely mix of locals and tourists we were able to experience farmers, fishermen and even a elderly gentleman playing his musical instrument.
