One of my favorite things about Luang Prabang was the market lifestyle - starting at 5am with the morning market and finishing the day around 11pm with the night market, there was always one type of market open in Luang Prabang.
I enjoyed waking up early and walking through the morning market, located down a side street, where I picked up several little dishes for breakfast back at my homestay. One morning it was rice noodles with veggies and another sticky rice coated in egg on a stick - each morning there were new options being served and this made it extra fun to walk along choosing what to have for breakfast.
Come evening another alley came alive with BBQ stations - serving anything and everything. Many evenings I strolled along picking up grilled Laos sausages, a bundle of sticky rice, and sauces and for under $3usd I had a complete dinner. I grabbed a seat at the open style picnic tables, met new friends and washed it all down with a Beer Lao.
